The Prototype Kitchen Petty knife perfectly fills the gap between a small paring knife and the larger kitchen knives. It has a similarly narrow blade profile and pointed tip as a paring knife, while providing a larger handle and blade for fine work on the cutting board. The petty will quickly become your favorite backup knife! 

The handle design on the Prototype series has a unique shield shape, with flat facets on six sides rather than a more typical fully rounded handle. This gives extra information to your hand for quick orientation of the knife while cutting. 

If you like the narrow-tip blade profile but want something a little shorter, check out the Western Paring knife as an option.

Blade: 0.06” thick. 5 ” long. 1.25" max depth. 52100 carbon steel.

Handle: Stabilized, spalted hickory. Solid brass pins. 4.25” long.

Sheath: (OPTIONAL) Natural veg-tanned, 7-8 oz leather from Hermann Oak American tannery. Hand stitched with waxed linen thread.

Package: This knife comes with a 1/2 oz tin of leather conditioner (with sheath purchase), and a 1/2 oz bottle of blade oil (if carbon steel).

Returns: Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by the confirmed delivery date, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also include the original packaging.
