Carbon Turner— Bocote & Brass (003)

$115.00 Sale Save

The Carbon Turner is meant to be at home in a kitchen full of cast iron and wood grain. If you love carbon steel knives, put to pasture your mass-produced turners and invest in this classic American made kitchen tool.

This turner is flexible enough to bend around pan walls, but ridgid enough to smash patties. The front edge of the turner is ground around 30 degrees helping to get under delicate foods, as well as chop foods within the pan while sautéing. It’s not sharp, but it’s pretty close.

This turner is made of hardened steel, so it is not suitable for use on pans made from stainless steel, aluminum, or those coated with Teflon and other similar non-stick coatings. Cast-iron and carbon steel pans are recommended.

Blade: 1075 carbon spring steel.
3” x 5” x 0.035” thick. Up to 45 degrees of blade flex from the back of the blade. 30 degree ground leading edge for getting under delicate foods and chopping.

Handle: Bocote wood finished in Danish oil and Redroot wood conditioner. Solid brass pins and lanyard tube. Handle wood is 7 5/8” long, 7/8”-1 1/8” wide, 1/2”-3/4” tall.

Overall: Handle angle at 40 degrees. Overall length of turner is 14”.

Package: The Carbon Turner ships with a canvas blade cover. Add the Water Barrier Care Kit for gifting purposes, or if you would like an all-in-one option for your turner.
