With its 8” blade, this heavy fillet knife is great for midsize fish like salmon and steelhead. The handle was designed so that the base of the handle can comfortably rest against the palm of the hand with the index finger positioned along the spine of the blade for saw like fillet cuts. 

Blade: 3/32” thick. 8” long. 01 carbon tool steel. High, rounded sabre grind.

Handle: Stabilized spalted maple. Solid copper (non-plated) pins and lanyard tube. 4.5” long.

Sheath: Natural veg-tanned, 8-9 oz leather from Hermann Oak American tannery. Hand stitched with waxed linen thread.

Package: This knife comes with a 1/2 oz tin of leather conditioner (with sheath purchase), and a 1/2 oz bottle of blade oil (if carbon steel).
