Kephart knife — Black Limba & Brass
An updated version of the original, iconic wilderness knife from the prolific writer and outdoorsman of the early 20th century, Horace Kephart.
The Kephart design is meant to be an all around workhouse for wilderness living. A full-sized, ergonomic knife with a flat blade grind and prominent blade belly for added slicing ability.
Blade: 1/8” thick. 6 1/2” long. 0-1 carbon steel. High, rounded sabre grind. Hard 90 degree spine for scraping & striking a ferro rod.
Handle: Nicely figured black limba with solid brass pins and lanyard tube. 4” long. Finished with Danish oil.
- Sheath: Vegitable-tanned, 7-8oz leather. Solid brass snap closure. Hand stitched with waxed linen thread.
This package includes a handmade canvas bag with leather lacing closure, a 1/2 oz bottle of blade oil, and a 1/2 oz tin of our leather conditioner.
